What They Grow: Quality Grass Fed Beef That Is Hormone, Antibiotic, and Steroid Free

In 2013, Tom and Alex Pearson purchased Carhan Farms, a 300-acre property in Putnam County, Georgia. Previously a dairy farm, the land transitioned to hay production before the Pearsons focused on conservation efforts. With guidance from their late friend Perry Dykes, they expanded to over 140 cows and calves for beef production. Following Perry's passing in 2021, Austin Nix, an experienced cattle raiser, joined to help manage the farm. Carhan Farms raises hormone, antibiotic, and steroid-free cattle on herbicide-free grass through rotational grazing to maintain ethical practices and ensure the land's sustainability.
